Construction Process
Ground up Construction Process
Construction Stage
01
Groundworks
The groundwork stage begins with site preparation, which involves
several key steps. First, the ground is excavated to the necessary depth to
accommodate the foundation and other structural elements. The surface
is then flattened using a roller to ensure a stable and even base. An
auger drill is used to create holes for the piles, and rebar is placed into
these holes, with some of it left protruding to be tied into the foundation
Construction Stage
02
Foundation
and Piles
Bar chairs are employed to ensure the two layers of rebar remain
in the correct position. Concrete is then mixed and poured
on top of this rebar to form the initial layer of the foundation
Construction Stage
03
Concrete Columns
Given their size, the concrete columns are precast off-site with
internal rebar and craned into position. The rebar protrudes
from the base of these columns and is tied into the upper
foundation pour, establishing a fully solid structural system
Construction Stage
04
Steel Cellbeam
& Concrete Cast
Steel Cell I-beams are then craned into position along the
supporting columns and welded in place. A foam concrete pour
mold with foam fill blocks is used, supported by telescopic
supports, to integrate the steel structure into the form of the building
Construction Stage
05
Upper Columns
& Roof Cell Beams
Vertical columns are carefully craned and welded into position onto the
Cell I-beams. This process is followed by the installation of a series of
V-shaped timber columns with steel and concrete bases. The ribbon
cut Cell beams are then lowered and fixed into place on top. Timber
spacers are attached to the steel I-beams to serve as a thermal break
Construction Stage
06
Concrete Shell
& Roof Fitting
The concrete shell roof is prefabricated off-site in small square
panels, which are transported to the site. On-site, these panels
are post-tensioned and filled with a coating of concrete. After
waterproofing, ridged Thermoflock insulation is fitted into the roof
Construction Stage
07
Upper Floor
& Thermal Envelope
The glass is then fitted, and the building envelope is waterproofed.
Next, the timber deck and JJI joists, along with Thermoflock floor
insulation, are installed. The insulation is pumped into the floor cavities
between the joists, followed by a final pour of polished concrete
Construction Stage

Finally, the lighting, interior crinkle concrete
paneling, and other furnishings and facilities are
installed, making the building habitable and finished
